Pastrami (Romanian: pastramă)

 

Pasatrami is a Romanian dish usually made from beef brisket, and sometimes from lamb, or turkey. The raw meat is brined, partially dried, seasoned with herbs and spices, then smoked and steamed. This is our own take on Pastrami using beef brisket and our own spices then smoking it to perfection and come is a largethinly deli sliced 6oz or 12oz vacuum sealed packages.

 

A Pastrami sandwich is more than just something thrown together to fill an empty belly; for true pastrami lovers, it is both an art and a tradition. As such, purists claim there is only one way to create and eat a pastrami sandwich, including what type of bread to use. This one makes a beautiful sandwich usually accompanied with yellow deli mustard, coleslaw or saukraut , a white cheese such as swiss and on a marble rye or a heavy grains bread. If you feel more experimental, our Pastrami goes well in an breakfast skillet or with a gnocchi pasta.
